ARX Roof Warranty, in Plain Language

What ARX covers

• Installation-related defects in ARX's labor and workmanship, for five years from Substantial Completion.
• A one-year no-leak guarantee on ARX workmanship, conditioned on proper attic ventilation, drainage, and no third-party alterations.

What the manufacturer covers

Roofing materials are warranted solely by their manufacturers. For example, IKO states that its Dynasty shingles carry a limited lifetime warranty (with “lifetime” meaning until the original owner no longer owns the building), a limited wind warranty up to 130 mph, and a limited algae resistance warranty, all subject to IKO’s written terms and installation requirements. Hail damage is not covered under the manufacturer’s limited warranty. Copies of the warranty that applies to your roof are available on request.

What is not covered

• Storm and Act of God events: hail, wind, lightning, tornado, heavy rain, hurricane, tree impact.
• Foot traffic, misuse, abuse, vandalism, or tampering by the customer or third parties.
• Improper attic ventilation, condensation, gutter or backflow issues, ice dams, or building movement and settlement.
• Pre-existing structural conditions, substrate failures, rotten rafters, sagging roof lines, or latent defects.
• Mold, mildew, algae, fungus, or moisture damage not directly caused by ARX workmanship.
• Normal wear and tear, fading, cosmetic changes, and minor waviness or telegraphing of decking irregularities.
• Damage from other trades, antennas or satellites, solar installers, HVAC work, or unapproved repairs.
• Roof penetrations, modifications, or attachments made by others, before or after ARX's work.

How to make a claim

Send the claim in writing to info@arxroofing.com within ten business days of discovering the problem. ARX may inspect the roof before performing warranty work. For storm damage, contact your insurer first; see our insurance claim guidance.
